Mikao Usui (1865~1926)
Founder of Reiki. After his enlightment on Mt. Kurama 1922, he set up his own institute "Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai" in Aoyama Harajuku.
Cyujiro Hayashi (1879~1940)
One of Mr.Usui's prominent students.
He built new branch "Hayashi Reiki Kenkyukai" at his master Usui's suggestion.
He taught Reiki Ms. Hawayo Takata mother of western Reiki.
Chiyoko Yamaguchi (1921~2003)
She learned Reiki from Mr. Hayashi when she was 16 Years old . Since then, she had been practicing not only on her family members but also on many others for 65 years.
She established Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai with her son, Tadao Yamaguchi.
Tadao Yamaguchi (1952~)
Founder Jikiden Reiki Kenkyukai.
He received first attunement at age of 5.
He passionately teaches Reiki not only Japan but also other countries.
